The challenge
Dispatch ran on three phones and a whiteboard. Drivers were called individually, delivery confirmation arrived as a photo on WhatsApp, and disputed deliveries took days to resolve because there was no verifiable record of what happened when.
What we built
- Dispatcher console with live vehicle positions, drag-to-assign jobs and route optimisation
- Offline-first Android driver app — jobs, navigation, signature and photo capture, syncing on reconnect
- Proof-of-delivery archive with timestamp, GPS location and signature, searchable by consignment
- Customer tracking page with an SMS link sent on dispatch
- Fuel, maintenance and driver-performance reporting for the operations team
